Regensburg (population 145,000) is situated at the nothernmost point of the river Danube in the heart of Bavaria. This ancient city was founded by the Romans and right up to the 19th century it remained one of the most important urban settlements in Germany.
With its unique medieval city centre, where historic buildings have foundations dating back to Roman times, Regensburg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. You will immediately feel at home in the narrow streets and alleys and the picturesque and lively squares of the city centre, with its abundance of beer gardens, bars, pubs, restaurants and café. On a more cultural level there is a lot to discover as well: museums, theatres, cinemas and a modern university, home to 20,000 students, housing one of the best-stocked libraries in Germany. The semi-circle of parks surrounding the city centre and the Danube with its tributaries, offer the possibility of a wide variety of open-air activities.
Our bright and modern school and residence share a building in the historic city centre and offer a view of the medieval cathedral.
